The contest ran from June 27 until August 31, 2008. Judging took place in October. Winners are posted below. School age children, first through twelve, submitted essays, 200 words or less, explaining “What AAFES means to me and my family.”

AAFES would like to thank all the children that participated in this event by giving each child a “You made the grade” coupon book. Just bring in your essay to your local exchange for a coupon book filled with valuable coupons.

Winners of the contest will be contacted to receive instructions on how to claim their prizes.
