Equal Employment Opportunity, Diversity & Inclusion
The Office of Equal Employment Opportunity, Diversity & Inclusion (EEODI) provides leadership, direction and guidance in carrying out the Army and Air Force Exchange Service's equal opportunity responsibilities. It administers the AAFES-wide EEODI program, by providing policy, oversight and technical guidance to all organizational elements.
EEODI also manages the AAFES EEODI complaint system, providing for the consideration and disposition of complaints from AAFES employees and applicants for employment involving issues of discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, status as a parent, national origin, age, disability, genetic information and retaliation.
Our vision is to achieve a workplace free from discrimination and harassment where every associate is valued for his or her unique contribution towards achieving the AAFES mission.
Equal employment opportunity institutionalized as an integral part of the AAFES mission. A workplace free of unlawful discrimination. A work force reflective of the diversity of the United States. Fair, neutral, timely and effective complaint processing. Early complaint resolution through early intervention and increased use of mediation. Provide EEO education and training for all associates. Develop a cadre of EEO counselors, mediators and specialists who provide quality customer service.
The Exchange is at its best when it draws on the talents of all associates. Diversity and inclusion are at the core of our culture and represent the strength of our organization. We must continue to challenge ourselves in our ability to recruit, hire, promote and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce in order to create business advantages and opportunities for growth.
