The Senior Enlisted Advisor reports directly to the Director/CEO. The Senior Enlisted Advisor acts as the voice of the Exchange, traveling to military installations worldwide to educate with garrison and wing leadership, as well as customers about the exchange and benefits to our patrons. He also brings issues back to the command to be resolved / implemented.

Chief Master Sergeant Tony Pearson is the Senior Enlisted Advisor at the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (Exchange), headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The Exchange is one of the top 50 retail organizations in the U.S. with annual revenue of $10B, employing more than 43,000 civilians. The Exchange operates department and convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants, theaters, vending and other businesses on military installations in all 50 states, five U.S. territories, and more than 30 countries.

Chief Pearson serves as the focal point for communications between Exchange leadership and 12.5M Army and Air Force active duty, Guard, Reserve, family members and retired patrons. He travels to Army and Air Force installations worldwide to present updates on Exchange activities and provides feedback on issues affecting customers.

Chief Pearson was born in Newark, N.J. He joined the Air Force in January, 1985 and earned a Community College of the Air Force Associate degree in Airport Resource Management. He attended Park University and earned an Associate degree in Social Psychology plus two Bachelor of Science degrees, in Human Resource Management and in Management, both Magna Cum Laude. His most recent degree is a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from American Military University.

Starting his career as an Operations Resource Manager at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio, Chief Pearson served in Osan, Korea; Pope AFB, N.C.; Ramstein AB, Germany; Mountain Home AFB, Idaho; Yokota AB, Japan; and Keesler AFB, Miss. He deployed in support of Operation ASSURED LIFT, delivering fuels, troops and supplies for Liberian peacekeeping efforts; Operation ALLIED FORCE, sustaining peacekeeping in Kosovo; Operation SOUTHERN WATCH, monitoring Iraqi airspace after the 1991 Persian Gulf War; and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, as a Combat Air Advisor with the Coalition Air Force Transition/Training Team.
