9/11 through OEF/OIF Special Project
Since Sept. 11, 2001, “We go were you go” has taken on new meaning as AAFES associates have followed Soldiers and Airmen into Afghanistan, Iraq and other locations in Southwest Asia. The 9/11 through OEF/OIF Project will help preserve this important part in AAFES History.
 

Deployees, retirees and associates involved in supporting the U.S. Military during operations after Sept. 11, 2001, are encouraged to participate in the 9/11 through OEF/OIF Special Project

The 9/11 through OEF/OIF history packet will provide those interested in helping preserve this important time in AAFES history with information and forms needed to conduct oral history interviews or make donations of photos and documents.It also includes interview questions, audio/video recording guidelines, and memoir writing guidance.

Parts from the interviews and photos submitted will be used in a 9/11 through OEF/OIF history book. The information could also be added to the AAFES History web site.
