This memorial honors all AAFES employees, whether they are local nationals, third country nationals or Americans. In AAFES’ 111-year history, there have been no other documented cases of associates in deployed situations who were wounded or killed by hostile fire.

We honor these brave civilians who chose to work alongside our men and women in uniform and put themselves at risk in order to bring a little touch of home to troops.
