WORLDWIDE In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Husqvarna Outdoor Products Inc., of Augusta, GA. is voluntarily recalling certain models of lawn tractors. The fuel lines on the affected lawn tractors may separate from the fuel tank outlet. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lawn tractors. Name of Product: Poulan lawn tractors. Manufacturer: Husqvarna Outdoor Products Inc., of Augusta, Ga., formerly known as Electrolux Outdoor Products Inc. Hazard: The tractors fuel lines on the affected lawn tractors may separate from the fuel tank outlet. Should this condition occur fuel will spill out, resulting in the risk of fire. Description: The recall involves several models of lawn tractors sold under the Husqvarna, Craftsman, Poulan Pro, Poulan, Weed Eater, Southern States and Murray brand names. AAFES sold only Poulan brand lawn tractors. The recall involves following model numbers: Model Number Product Number PB1842LT 96012004500 & 96012004501 (AAFES SOLD) PO12538LT 960112004300 & 96012004301 (AAFES SOLD) PE12538LT 96011019600 PE155H38LT 96011019700 Serial Numbers Date Range of 090905-X00XXXX through 062206-X00XXXX To determine if a tractor is involved in the recall, check the lawn tractors’ product model and serial numbers, located on a label under the seat of the tractor. Sold At: Mass merchandisers, hardware stores, nationwide dealers and AAFES sold these tractors between September 2005 and June 2006. Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lawn tractor and inform everyone else who may intend to use the affected lawn tractor of the potential safety hazard and schedule a repair by contacting the Husqvarna/Poulan Service Centers at 866-284-8872 (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time) or visit web site www.poulan.com for scheduling a free repair.
