‘Price is Right’ to Support America’s TroopsDALLAS - Anyone who has the opportunity to visit a BX or PX is going to hear a lot about price; competitive, tax-free pricing, price matching and even price coordinators are all on the agenda.
This Veteran’s Day, the conversation went nationwide as the host of the “Price is Right,” Drew Carey, did his part to let America know that Army & Air Force Exchange Service gift and phone cards are two of the most economical ways to brighten a service member’s day.
“This is the second year that AAFES partnered with the television game show to raise awareness of troop support programs available to the American public,” said AAFES’ Deputy Public Affairs Officer Maj. Edwina Walton. “The partnership means that the ‘Salute to the Military’ episode benefits more than just troops in the audience, but Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines the world over.”
While only authorized military shoppers can redeem AAFES gift and Military Exchange Global Prepaid phone cards, any American can send either form of support by simply calling 800-527-2345 or logging on to www.aafes.org and clicking the “Gift Cards/Certificates for Our Troops” or “Help Our Troops Call Home” icon.
From there, AAFES gift and phone cards can be addressed to a specific Soldier, Airman, Sailor or Marine or even sent to “any service member” through the American Red Cross, Fisher House Foundation, USO, Soldier and Family Assistance Center, Air Force Aid Society or Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
