Gemological Testing Laboratory
Quality Assurance maintains a complete, modern gemological
testing laboratory at the AAFES distribution center, Ft. Gillem, GA, which is staffed with
a highly trained graduate gemologist. Jewelry shipments are inspected for quality of stones
and workmanship, as well as precious metal content, on a random basis.

specifications is inspected by IGI (International Gemological
Institute) in New York City, NY. Rest of the merchandise is inspected
by AAFES on a random basis. Quality Assurance maintains a complete,
modern gemological laboratory at AAFES distribution center, Ft. Gillem,
GA, which is staffed with a highly trained Graduate Gemologist.
Jewelry shipments are inspected for quality of stones and workmanship,
precious metal content as well as stamping and tagging. AAFES also has
specifications for mountings and
chains, stamping, and
tagging.
