Military Clothing
Military clothing and accessories
are vital items to AAFES customers. AAFES Military Clothing Sales
Stores (MCSS) sell both Defense Support Center, Philadelphia
(DSCP) issue items and AAFES-procured optional items. AAFES is
responsible for monitoring the quality of AAFES-procured items,
which are purchased only from firms certified by either the Army
or the Air Force. Specifications for the AAFES procured military
clothing and accessories are developed and finalized by the Natick
Soldier Center, Natick, Massachusetts for the Army; the Air Force
Clothing Division at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio, for the
Air Force; and by the Institute of Heraldry for Insignias,
respectively. DSCP is primarily responsible for quality of issue
items.
