Social Audits
The Army & Air Force Exchange
Service (AAFES) has a very rich and proud heritage of serving the
men and women of the uniformed services and their families. Our
mission is global; we are citizens of many worldwide communities,
supported by a very diverse workforce. Our endeavor is deeply
rooted in the tenets of integrity, accountability, and compassion,
which are embodied in our core values. Consistent with these
values, AAFES requires its suppliers and/or manufacturers of
private label merchandise, or manufacturers of merchandise
imported directly by AAFES to comply with AAFES'
Social Responsibility and Labor Standards, or with Fair Labor
Standards Act (FLSA). Reference paragraph 24 of AAFES Retail
Agreement and paragraph 15, of section 1 of Supplier
Requirements Agreements. In order to verify such
compliance, AAFES QA administers a program of social audits.
