    Patriot Pet: Dakota, Chocolate Labradorr

Hi, my name is Dakota, our soldier had to leave us for training and I really missed him. First thing I did when he came back was give him a big hug and lots of kisses.

    I love him.

Patriot Pet: Santiago (aka Santi), Labrador

I took these 4th of July pictures of the "kids" as a surprise for my husband's desk.

In the picture Isabella is destroying the festive arrangement... and playing with the "U" in USA. Santiago (aka Santi) oversaw the operation and probably hid the "S" and "A"... happy to see Isabella be the one causing the trouble for a change.

Patriot Pets: Chispi & Moe, Shih Tzu

I'm a Specialist in the US Army 68T Animal Care Specialist.

The pets in this picture are Chispi (white and brown 5 years old) and Moe (white and tan 4 years old). They are both boys and their breed is Shih Tzu. They are the best!
After a hard day at work, I come home and these little guys just lick my stress away.

A glass of wine or chocolate cake can't relieve my worries but these guys can.

    Patriot Pet: Lou, French Bulldog

Lou is a small fella with a big heart. He helped his Mommy through two long deployments by being a very affectionate and a lovable clown, but also snuggled up to her when needed.

Being a well obedient four-legged-family member, Lou attends military community events to show everyone his support.

Patriot Pet: Peanut, Basset Hound Mix

This photo of our amazing Peanut was taken this past December 2009 when we came home from the 2009 Womack Army Medical Center Christmas Ball.

As my husband, SGT Metcalfe, sat down on the couch, Peanut decided to stand up at "attention" and "salute his hero" in uniform. We taught many tricks to Peanut, but this was all him!!!

We thought this was such an amazing example of a pet showing loyalty and companionship to "his soldier".

Patriot Pet: Bulle (Bul-la), German Shepard

During my Dad's deployment to Afghanistan, our 3-year-old German Shepherd, Bulle (Bul-la), answered the call and served proudly as our family's sentry.

He is a faithful and proud wingman, pack leader and warrior just like an American Airman—he never leaves a family member behind. Bulle and Joshua are Fit-to-Fight!

    Patriot Pet: Tank, English Bulldog

"Tank" is a Patriotic pooch that simply enjoys brightening someone’s day. With his wrinkly face he is committed to bringing smiles to everyone he meets.

We charge him "shakes", with treats and he provides us with a companion that has taught us the importance of showing appreciation to one another.

    Patriot Pet: Mister Cash, Rottweiler

On May 23 my best friend Mister Cash was born. He was the only boy out of a litter of eleven. Despite him being a litle ball of terror, getting into everything from wires to walls, he has grown into the sweetest 115 lb. lap dog I will forever love.
