ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open for submissions by Military members and all Military ID card holders who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of AAFES as well as their immediate family (spouses, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
HOW TO ENTER: Enter online by sending your story of (500 words or less) to PatriotFamily@aafes.com. You must include your name, address, daytime phone number, rank or occupation plus name of your closet Exchange. Last day to submit entry by email is March 4, 2011. Post the subject title- Romance Rocks, in the subject line of the email.
The Exchange reserves the right to disqualify multiple entries. Incomplete or inaccurate entries are void. The Exchange is not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected registrations, which will be disqualified.
JUDGING CRITERIA AND SELECTION OF WINNERS: Submissions will be judged on the basis of uniqueness, and ability to express a humorous or interesting story of love and romance. Subjects in the story need to be tied to the Military, either having served, currently serving, or supporting the Military in some capacity. Judging will be conducted in March 2011.
TERMS: All entry information becomes the property of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (the Exchange.) By entering the contest, entrants grant the Exchange a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to display any submitted photographs. Entrant name may be displayed on the Exchange website and within the Exchange advertising and promotions without any fee or other form of compensation. The Exchange may make and retain copies of any submitted photograph for advertising and archival purposes.
