VMI - Vendor Managed Inventory

 

What is VMI?
The VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) program is designed to allow AAFES' Business Partners the opportunity to manage AAFES’ inventory levels by allowing the vendor to order merchandise and control the inventory for AAFES. The goals of the program are to reduce inventory, increase turns, increase fill rates, and increase profits.
AAFES sends Warehouse or Store inventory information to the vendor. The vendor in turn will write and send the order to the AAFES system.
