Exchange Upgrading Fuel Card Program for Service Members, Families Stationed in the UK

Royal Air Force Lakenheath - Airmen and military families stationed in the United Kingdom will soon be able to swap out their Fast Fuel cards for a free upgrade.

Authorized Army & Air Force Exchange Service shoppers can use their Fast Fuel cards to purchase gas outside the gates without paying tax. The new cards will be activated at no charge and printed on-demand, meaning Airmen and their families will receive a replacement as soon as they return their old fuel cards.

U.S. military personnel and authorized family members can exchange their fuel cards at these locations during the following dates:

  • RAF Menwith Hill Exchange (Aug. 7-15)
  • RAF Alconbury Exchange (Sept. 5-19)
  • RAF Lakenheath Exchange (Sept. 5-19)
  • RAF Feltwell Exchange (Oct. 10-24)

“The Exchange’s new-and-improved fuel card program will make fueling up in the UK easier than ever for U.S. service members and their families, eliminating the wait times and fees associated with the old card,” said Col. Scott McFarland, commander of the Exchange’s Europe/Southwest Asia region. “We are honored to offer this convenience to Airmen and military families at these installations.”

Fuel card holders can swap out their cards during regular business hours every day during the replacement period. For more information, contact your local Exchange. The RAF Menwith Hill Exchange can be reached at 14 2377-4554, the RAF Alconbury Exchange at 14 8045-1994, the RAF Lakenheath Exchange at 16 3853-4200 and the RAF Feltwell Exchange at 18 4282-8289.
