Equal Employment Opportunity

The office of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) provides leadership, direction, and guidance in carrying out the Army and Air Force Exchange Service’s equal opportunity responsibilities. It administers the AAFES worldwide EEO program, by providing policy, oversight, and technical guidance to all organizational elements. The EEO Office acts with the greatest degree of independence and drives the Exchange toward EEO agency status with the EEO Commission (EEOC).
The EEO office manages the AAFES EEO complaint system, provides for the consideration and disposition of complaints from AAFES employees and applicants for employment involving issues of discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, genetic information, retaliation, and status as a parent.
Our Vision
Our vision is to achieve a workplace free from discrimination and harassment where every associate is valued for his or her unique contributions achieving the AAFES mission.
Goals
Equal employment opportunity is an integral part of the AAFES mission. We value a workplace free of unlawful discrimination. We strive for fair, neutral, and effective complaint processing. Early complaint resolution through early intervention and increased use of mediation. We provide EEO education and training for all associates.
The Exchange is at its best when it draws on the talents of all associates. I am firmly committed to the principles of EEO and expect both the spirit and intent of this policy to be followed by all Exchange associates.
