Brad Bingham is Director/Chief Executive Officer for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, headquartered in Dallas.
The Exchange is a nonappropriated fund instrumentality of the Department of War. Established in 1895, the Exchange is the 51st-largest retailer in the U.S. With annual revenues of $8.6 billion, the Exchange employs 24,000 associates, including military personnel. In the last 10 years, the Exchange benefit has provided $15 billion in value to the military community.
The Exchange operates more than 5,000 facilities, including department, convenience and Military Clothing stores; restaurants; malls, movie theaters; gas stations; and other specialty services on military installations worldwide. The Exchange is a leading employer of Veterans and military spouses.
Bingham serves on the Exchange’s Board of Directors and its Executive Committee alongside the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4, Headquarters, U.S. Army (Army G-4) and the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force (AF/A1).
Bingham was born in Oklahoma City. He attended Southern Methodist University, earning a Master of Business Administration from the Cox School of Business. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oklahoma State University.
Bingham began his Exchange career as a financial management trainee and has since held a range of senior finance roles, including chief/director of financial analysis, vice president of financial analysis, chief financial officer and deputy director/chief financial officer.
As a managing partner at Leisure Time RV in Oklahoma City, Bingham comprehensively restructured the business through process improvements, expanded customer services and the introduction of new revenue streams, leading to a highly successful acquisition by Camping World, the largest RV dealer in the United States.
Bingham deployed to Kuwait and Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. His performance over his Exchange career has earned him numerous awards, including the three Extraordinary Achievement awards, the Exchange’s highest honor recognizing exceptional contributions that create clear and measurable benefit for the military community.
