Occupational Safety & Health
The Exchange Occupational Safety and Health Program is set up to prevent on-the-job injuries, illness and property damage, and to make sure all associates have safe and healthful working environments.
Exchange is designated as a DoD component for purposes of occupational safety and health, and establishes and manages its own safety and health programs. However, Exchange activities on your installation follow your command regulations and requirements. Exchange conducts occupational safety and health compliance inspections to ensure that work places meet the appropriate regulatory safety and health standards.
Your safety and health military personnel often provide technical assistance that is beyond the expertise of the Exchange safety and security managers.
